Pardon me, boy... Is that the Chattanooga choo choo?

About a month ago, we got to go visit Chattanooga Tennessee AND stay at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel. It was awesome, but the best part about it...we didn't have to pay for it! I know awesome right? We got to go on a marriage retreat with Erik's unit. They paid for the hotel, the child care and all the food, we just had to get there.
They had classes for Erik and I to attend, and the kids got to play and play. On Saturday we got to spend half the day in what they called application time. Personally I think application time would have been more suitable without kids, but hey what do I know. So instead we went to the aquarium and saw all sorts of awesome stuff.Touching Sting rays

Watch out for sharks!!

Then we ate at a really cool diner/hamburger place and saw an IMAX film about the ocean. (Didn't get any pictures of those. My battery died...of course!) The kids had a blast.

The food was really good too, and fortunately AND unfortunately for me they had a fully stocked dessert table at both lunch AND dinner each day. They were really...reeeaaaalllllly good though.
The buffet table

Jordan's favorite part of the table.
I'd love to have those with some Wingers Sauce! Oh Baby!

It's fun to get out and learn and explore a little bit of the areas where we are living. I guess that's one good thing about moving around so much. It even snowed while we were there, talk about crazy. (That was the same week-end that Georgia got snow also.)
The old train station where the Chattanooga Choo Choo was, is now the hotel lobby. If you look up on the walls you will see some of the old signs that showed some of the different stops for the train. It was pretty cool.

We loved it there. It may have been too cold while you were there but my kids favorite part of the Chattanooga Choo Choo was the frogs. The little ponds between the main loby and the rail cars had all kinds of frogs in it. James caught like 20 frogs while we were there.. he love it!
How cool is that the Army paid for you to go on a marriage retreat. I guess they are realizing that the divorce rate is through the roof in the military and are trying to do something about it. I hope you had a great retreat.. clearly you had a great vacation!
We loved that area and the aquarium there was pretty cool too!
Much love to you all!
