Don't have much to say!

For once, I don't have much to say. I know...SHOCKER! Every time, I get on the blog, though, I have to look at the old Tag post, and I'm sick of it, so I thought I'd put up something new.
I've recently been connecting with old friends on Facebook. It's been so much fun. Almost everyday, I get onto my email and there is a new friend request. I've reconnected with a lot of my High school friends, and renewed friendships that time has all but forgotten. I had no idea that Facebook was so popular, until last month when I went home to Utah for a visit and my sister-in-law asked me if I was on Facebook. I started Facebook about a year ago because Erik's family set it up, so we could share pictures and stuff. I never strayed from the Pyne family until my sister-in-law asked me that question. Since then I've been having lots of fun finding people! I know a lot of you who read my blog are most likely on Facebook too, so look me up! If your not on Facebook, then maybe you should jump on the band wagon, and see what all the fuss is about! It's pretty fun, but I still love blogs! That's all. 23. What is your/his best feature? Erik says "I'm not allowed too say.", I say his eyes.
24. What is your/his best quality? Erik says I'm a hard worker, I say his dedication to everything important.

So Excited for Choir!

Alright everyone...in the ward that is...Choir starts Sunday and I am SOOOO excited. Let me tell you why. If found one of the songs that we are going to be singing! This isn't just any song, it is quite possibly my favorite. No one here (Georgia) seems to know much about it, but it's all the rage in Utah, or so I'm told. Not that I want to do what them there Utahns are doing, but this song is THAT GOOD! I vaguely remember hearing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing it, and I fell in love with it immediately. After a while I finally tracked down the name of it, and found out more about it. It's called "This is the Christ" and the words were written by Pres. James E. Faust. Then Michael Moody put music to it and it was published in the Ensign in Dec 2006. It's so moving! It is like singing your testimony, and the music is SOOO beautiful. Well, anyways, I wanted a certain arrangement, but I was unable to located it. I ended up buying another version, that is still beautiful, but I was just a little disappointed that I couldn't find the one I wanted. Of course, the day after I ordered the music, I found the one I wanted. However, it's only available from one place (that I could find), they didn't do online ordering, and they were closed for the whole next week. I tried to cancel the order that I had just made, but it had already been sent. I couldn't very well justify spending the choir budget on two of the same songs so I gave up my quest. Then I got a call from the Stake Choir Director and on a whim I asked if she had ever done this song. Long story short, the Stake Library has the music and we are in business! This arrangement is featured on the MOTAB CD "Consider the Lilies", but it's also on YouTube. There are only 2 on Youtube that are the right ones. They are just sung by different choirs, but both of them do an excellent job!

First Day of School!!!!!!!!!

YES, If you can't tell, I'm very excited! Today is the first day of school and all three of beautiful children excitedly got dressed, ate, posed for some pictures, got on the bus , and rushed off for a fun day! I've gotten more done in the few hours that they have been gone then I have been able to do over a weeks time with my kids home! Imagine what I could do over the next few weeks...WOW! OK, so enough about me, let's get back to the kids. I took pictures of them before school. Later today, I'm going to Jordan's class to give them cupcakes in honor of Jordan's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDAN!), and then I'll get some after school pictures and comments. I'll have to post those later. (I also have pictures from Jordan's birthday party that we had a few days ago...stay tuned for that!)

Anyways, all three of my kids were super excited this morning! No problem getting them to get dressed, eat, do their hair...nothing. At least for today. They are saving the rebellion for later! I'm sure I'll get it many, many, many times before long!This is the kids waiting at their bus stop. It's right across the street from our house. By the way, that ForSale sign is for a house down the street. No, I am not trying to sell my kids! It does kind of look like that though...I guess I should have moved that before pictures, huh? Oh well, thank goodness for photoshop!

The kids didn't quite know what to do when they got on the bus. Their bus driver, who is awesome BTY, was trying to get them to turn around so I could get a picture, but this was the best I could get! Have fun at school kids! I must admit that when I saw all my kids getting on the bus, I might have let a few tears slip, but it was short lived...maybe a little shorter than it should have been. ;)

So I took cupcakes into Jordan's class since it was his birthday today, and I got a chance to go to all three of my kids classes and get pictures of them! It was really fun! And I bet you all thought I would be out partying....shame on you... that's later this week! ;)It was a pretty full day. When the kids came home Elizabeth instantly kicked off her shoes and ripped off her socks and let her feet, that were so used to wearing flip-flops, breath. Karlee started to tell me what a fun class she had, and Jordan just wanted to play with the new toy that he got from the birthday box in class. When I asked them how there first day of school was, Elizabeth said, "It was totally awesome and GREAT!!!" Karlee said "It was so much fun!" Jordan however said, "I don't know!?!" and shrugged his shoulders and went back to playing with his toy. Oh well, can't win them all. All in all it was a very good day. I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow!

Self proclaimed Twilight junkie

In the last month, I was introduced to the Twilight series. I fought it off for as long as I could...or more like I ignored everyone when they were talking about it...but there was always something in the back of my mind wondering what the heck the big deal was about. The same thing happened to me with the Harry Potter books. I fought that one until right before book 6 came out, and then I was right there with the rest of the crazy-stay-up-until-midnight-waiting-in-a-line-a-mile-long Fans. By the time book 7 came out, I had Erik hooked as well...something I thought would never happen...and we made it a date to go get our book at midnight, which was totally fun by the way.
Anyways, I was at Walmart a couple weeks ago and I finally saw the Twilight book for sale, so I got it. Lets just say, 3 books and a week later I was anxiously waiting for book 4 to come out! I just finished Book 4 yesterday! There is a reason that I put off reading some of these book series! For one, I hate waiting!!!!!!!!!! When I finished book 1, I immediately contacted a friend in the ward that had tried to convince me to start reading the Twilight series, and picked up book 2 that night. The same thing happened when I finished book 2. What a good friend for letting me borrow them, I didn't even want to waste time going to the store to buy them (which I will be doing very soon). Anyways, the 2nd reason I put off reading these series is I get into a book and I don't want to put it down. It doesn't matter if it's 3:00 in the morning, or it's 6pm and I haven't started dinner yet. I was better this time, but not by much. I promised myself that I wouldn't read until the kids were in bed and I had the time. It was really hard, but I was good...unfortunately, I haven't had much sleep lately and it's catching up with me now that I'm done! For those who may be wondering, Book 4 was good. It started out...excellent, got a little weird, had a lull for a while then I was slightly disappointed in how everything plays out, but I was happy at the end. I read through it so fast that I think I will have to reread the whole series again and let things marinade before I can tell you exactly what I think. Besides, a lot of you haven't even finished yet, so I can't say much now anyways. As of right now I really enjoyed it. Now I'm looking forward to the movie coming out in December.
Well, I've rambled on enough. I think I'll crash early tonight and try to make a little bit of sleep up, so that I can catch up on all the laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc... Have a good one!
