#10- Getting sick...

#9 1/2 Playing "catch-up" after being sick.
I had less than a week to finish all the homemade Christmas presents, wrap everything, and send them to the post office in time to get there before Christmas.
Talk about cutting it close, everyone got their packages on December 24th.
I made homemade magnets for everyone in my family and Erik's family.
The "No Whining" magnet was the overwhelming favorite.
I also made some necklaces for some other gifts.
They turned out really awesome.
Thanks Brandi for the tiles, and for teaching me how to do it in the first place!
#9 Decorating and then eating a Gingerbread house!
And this was what was left the next day:
#8 Making Sugar cookies, decorating them, and delivering them to poor unsuspecting neighbors.
(No, they actually were really yummy, thanks to Allrecipes.com!)
I didn't get pics of the process, but here is the aftermath.
A few of the cookies made it through the cookie feast,
and were eaten later of given away.
#7 A Clean house.
Before the Christmas Eve get-together, I finally got my house all clean. Yeah!!!
Because of that I was free to take people on a tour of the house when they came. Including you! Enjoy!
As soon as I figure out how to get my camcorder to download onto blogger I will show you, so check back!
#6 A Dirty House.
Just when I finally got my house clean, Christmas happens!
This isn't even that bad. This was just what was left after the Christmas Eve party, which we had cleaned up in about 5-10minutes.
You don't get to see what it looks like now, but I'm sure you all have your own version of a dirty house where you are.
#5 Entertaining kids during the holiday break.
(Also see #9 and #8)
You would think that after Christmas they would be able to find something to do when they have so many new things to play with...not the case.

You can always count on these two for a funny picture.
We had 28 people at our house on Christmas Eve.It was so awesome! If I could have accommodated 50 people I would have, but if we wanted to have a place for everyone to sit down we had to draw the line somewhere.
I tried to get a big group shot, but everyone ran away screaming...go figure. Then people started leaving and I never got it. It's too bad, it would have been fun to see all the people we had crammed into our house. We had 5 tables set up; 3 in the dining room area, one close by in the entrance, and another in the TV room. It took some creativity, but we worked it out.

All the kids got roller skates from mommy and daddy so that we could go skating as a family. We've been out to the rollerskating rinks twice now and the kids are getting better.

Luckily I clicked on Tina's blog because for some reason yours didn't update on my list. I never would have seen it.
Anyway--
1. Where did you find your flattened marbles? All the ones I've found completely distort the picture--to the point you can't even tell what it is. The ones you used are nice!
2. I'm going to take a wild guess that the guy standing in the background in the picture where you said, "I can always count on these two for a funny picture" is Perry G.'s brother. Just a hunch. :)

It probably did update on your blog, but it showed up way down the list because I have been working on the entry since the 30th, but I didn't finish until after midnight on New Years Day. Sorry, I'm super slow!

1. I found the small marbles for the extra necklaces at Hobby Lobby, the big marbles for the magnets at Dollar Tree, and I had this totally awesome friend that sent me the flat square ones...oh wait that was you! Thanks again!
